I did it!! I finally finished my Mirage. I used the Revell Mirage III E kit and added the fin fillet and the VOR antennas on top of the fin to depict the Brasilian version. I also trimmed various protrusions etc. that weren't related to the Brasilian versions. I used Carpena decal sheet 72/24 which show the markings of an aircraft of the Jaguar Squadron of the first Air Defense Group in 1987. I used Testors Model Master PRU Blue as the basic upper surface color and Testors Model Master US Navy Blue Gray as a highlight. I used Testors Model Master Dark Anodonic Gray Metalizer for the undersurface.

This is an older kit and has been in my unbuilt collection for over twenty years. Even so, it provided good detail with finely engraved lines. The cockpit is basic but in this scale, was acceptable. Overall, I was pleased with the kit and feel that it is a good depiction of the Brasilian version of this great line of aircraft. I built this model for an internet Mirage-a-thon contest. It gave me the excuse to finally get around to building a model of this neat airplane.
