Czech Master Resin - 1/72nd Scale
CMR-169 Supermarine Spitfire LF Mk.XVIE
"Low Back/Tear-Drop Canopy" version

The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XVI was powered by the American-built Packard Merlin (known as the Merlin 266) and based on the earlier highly successful Spitfire Mk.IX airframe (powered by the two-stage Rolls-Royce Merlin). Fitted with 'Clipped Wings' for low-altitude combat, the 'E' wing was armed with two 20mm cannon and two .50 cal machine guns - some could carry four cannon instead. This model depicts the 'Tear-Drop' canopy version with the cut down rear fuselage and follows on from CMR's recently released:
CMR-168 Supermarine Spitfire LF Mk.IXE

This model includes a highly-detailed cockpit interior, with painted 'Photo-Etch' detailing set supplied by © Eduard, from the Czech Republic. A choice of six colour schemes including: RAF Squadron service with Polish, Dutch, French and Belgium nationalities, plus an example from the Royal Hellenic Air Force. Optional external payloads include: 'Belly' tank, plus both 250lb and 500lb GP Bombs.
