"New" RNZAF P-40 photos

Two photos from the collection of Anthony Hough. I wonder if any P-40 experts could add any new info about these two photos. Especially the one with two "kill" markings.

Quoting from "Air to Air" by Chris Rudge, Steven Westerby advises... The picture is of F/Lt Robert Hamish (Jim) Balfour photographed at Barakoma airstrip. On 22 November 1943, he claimed to have destroyed one A6M and shared the destruction of another Zeke with F/O Clive Highet. The two Japanese flags painted on the side of the aircraft (P-40N NZ3155/50) were probably for the two Zekes claimed by F/O Leonard Rayner on 1 November 1943 (Photo, Anthony Hough collection)
