Tamiya He162 1/48th Preview
This kit was a pre-production test shot – just a bag of sprues with no part number tabs, locating pins, instructions or decals. Even in this state, it was pretty obvious that this little guy was going to knock the older Trimaster/Dragon kit of the He162 off its perch. All up, this was a fun project and I’ll quite happily build a “production” kit when it becomes available here in New Zealand. I would rate it as the best kit of the He162 in any scale – highly recommended. A special thanks to Modelcrafts & Hobbies and Trevor Bringans Ltd for making this sample available to me to build.

Siemens Schuckert D-III/IV. Toko. 1/72
It is wonderful to see such a well-engineered model of a WW I fighter, and this reviewer hopes that future WW1 kits are soon forthcoming from Toko. Highly recommended. Injection-molded plastic, 36 pieces, decals.

Junkers D.1. Roden kit 041. 1/72nd
The kit is well recommended for modelers who enjoy unique subjects. I am a big fan of Roden models and have several in my collection. The company produces accurate and detailed kits of interesting subjects. These kits are, however, not of the “add glue and shake” variety. They all seem to have some tricky areas. The D.1 is no exception.
